After the snow, things got warm and thawy. Fact is, I even shoveled some of the deck late last night when the snow had turned to rain, and this morning was just as balmy, and finally in early afternoon I went out and finished up the job.
Then we hiked Beech Hill, my dog and I.
Not sure exactly what happened, but I noticed right away that the slushy snow had gone all crusty, and a strong wind had risen. A really strong wind. And the temperature had dipped precipitously—or seemingly so. Man, was it cold.
Returning, I started to wonder if Mount Washington was anything like what I was experiencing up there. I mean, it was dramatic.
Probably not, though.
