Lonesome hike

Monday, February 10th, 2014
Cold afternoon, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 10 February 2014.

Cold afternoon.

Busy, busy. Finally had to force myself to rise and escape with Jack to Beech Hill Preserve. There was just us up there, dog and I—no humans, no birds, no animals, brisk breeze, cool temps, partly cloudy sky that began to glow orange in its western regions. Did finally hear the wingbeats of a mourning dove when we got back to the parking lot.
