The day dawned clear and colder than yesterday. A little wind blowing. Not a lot of leaves left on the hardwoods. I worked steadily for most of the it, remembering to stand up every now and then to stretch. Someday, I’m gonna get myself a stand-up desk.
Toward the end of day, somehow, Jack and I found ourselves walking up the nippy Beech Hill trail. The highlight: a flock of about a half-dozen pine grosbeaks flying over, chattering. Hadn’t seen any of those for a good long while—and I’m pretty sure they’re the first I’ve had on my Beech Hill list.
Nothing much else to tell you. Bright sun angling down early, turning the fields a coppery orange. Slate blue was the color of the bay.
Late tonight, Orion is up there again, chasing Jupiter.
