Gray skies this morning, with big rains in the near forecast. Warm (50s (F)), but windy. And the fewest birds I can recall seeing and/or hearing on the hill.
(Granted, it’s been four years since my last winter here, and I know there were days with zero birds, but this was a pretty big dip.)
The only species I saw were chickadees and gulls, and only the latter let me grab a photo. But tomorrow’s supposed to be sunny again, with lighter winds, so I’m kinda betting on more bluebirds—and perhaps a surprise or two. We shall see!
