Last leaves

Birch, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 06 November 2015.

Birch.

Foggy, almost balmy day. Work, chores, hike. Saw no birds (although just missed a soaring hawk, according to some fellow hikers), but heard a few. Thanks to a blustery wind, the little birch tree lost its last few leaves today.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
