Lost day

Friday, December 26th, 2014
Birch, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 26 December 2014.

Birch.

The days, while lengthening, are short yet. Their photoperiods, I mean. Today I got to work a few minutes late—and didn’t leave until nearly sunset. A busy one. And then an evening hike with Jack.

Bunch of people on the hill again, it being Boxing Day, and a Friday. Heard a couple of birds is all.

Still warm for the season. That will change.

Beech Hill List
Beginning at 4 p.m., I hiked the open trail.

2. Mourning Dove (wingbeats)

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
