Neighborhood squirrel

American Red Squirrel, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 08 November 2015.

American Red Squirrel.

Sunny day, brisk and cool. Blustery winds, rattling windows. Did some desk work. Trying to take it a little easy.

But a Beech Hill hike with Jack is an obligation. Made it up and down. The hardwoods are now mostly bare. Two bird species, and the neighborhood red squirrel.

Chilly here tonight, too.

Beech Hill List
Beginning at 2:45 p.m., I hiked the open trail.

1. Black-capped Chickadee
2. Hairy Woodpecker

Elsewhere

3. Blue Jay
4. White-breasted Nuthatch (v)
5. American Crow

v = Voice only
