Spring remnant.

Thanksgiving Day. I’m grateful for for strong legs, good eyes (long views), my hearing (birdsong), friends (past, present, and yet to come), family (alive and dead), sensitive souls generally, the tilt of our planet, the best daughter in the world, and this good dog o’ mine.

Captain Jack, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 26 November 2015.

Captain Jack.

Hit the hill in mid-morning. We were the only ones ther on the way up, but we met several people coming back down. Only two bird species (the commonest), but that’s OK.

Kind of a lovely, overcast day.
