Big rain last night. Kept waking up and listening to it in under this new roof. Also wind. Lots of electrical outages, so I hear, but we never lost power here. The stream out back was rapid.
The rain let up in the middle of the day, and when dog and I stopped off at Beech Hill Preserve, ours was the only vehicle in the lot. We only saw a jogger up there, in fact, and a few birds. Notable: a couple Dark-eyed Juncos and a solitary raven.
The clouds blew away while we were on the hill. A warm day, though, with a southern wind.
