Southern wind

Common Raven, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 29 October 2015.

Common Raven.

Big rain last night. Kept waking up and listening to it in under this new roof. Also wind. Lots of electrical outages, so I hear, but we never lost power here. The stream out back was rapid.

Afternoon haze, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 29 October 2015.

Afternoon haze.

The rain let up in the middle of the day, and when dog and I stopped off at Beech Hill Preserve, ours was the only vehicle in the lot. We only saw a jogger up there, in fact, and a few birds. Notable: a couple Dark-eyed Juncos and a solitary raven.

The clouds blew away while we were on the hill. A warm day, though, with a southern wind.
