Fog again—thick fog. Heard more than I saw on the hill—and my best photo came from the kitchen window, looking out at a little chippie.

A fourth foggy morning in a row dawned here at the 44th parallel. Jack and I arrived early to the hill to find a couple other vehicles in the parking lot, surprisingly. We climbed the drippy trail, came upon a Veery (missed the photo when my camera strap got in the way of the viewfinder), saw flickers and jays and sparrows. It was a quick hike because…

…I had to return at nine, sans dog, to help inspect the sod roof of Beech Nut. There, I took a photo of a clump of British soldiers.
