Today had rain.
Today had sun.
Today had a Great Blue Heron.
Today had a Cooper’s Hawk,
and a family of handsome Canada Geese,
floating in a pond.

Song Sparrow.

On this gray, showery day, I saw some very young Canada Geese, took photos of a few wet songbirds, let Jack say hellow to some hard-working middle school students (taking a break), and said, aloud, as I always do, “I love this day.”

In the woods with dog this morning, I watched as a pair of chasing Ovenbirds zipped by no more than about a foot away.
