And So It Begins Anew

Yellow-rumped warbler.

Got out of my truck at Beech Hill to a serenade of wood frogs. Later, I spied my first Tree Swallow of the year. Also, at the summit, the first yellow-rump in spring plumage.

And so it begins.

Spring in Fog

Eastern Bluebird

Drizzle, then mist, then fog. Temperatures in the 40s (F) early—50s in afternoon. Fog on the hill when Jack and I arrived, fog when we departed. In the intervening hour, we encountered a bunch of little birds.
